Prateek Garg, Founder CEO and Managing Director In 1998, with $ 10,000 in seed capital, 10 staff members, and the vision of building a company that has a sustainable business model, great leadership and best corporate governance, Prateek laid the foundation of Progressive Infotech. Under his leadership, Progressive has today risen to be a $ 45 million company with a 1000 plus workforce, PAN India presence in 130 + locations and an international footprint.
Prateek is an IT service business strategist with a career spanning over 25 years. Prior to setting up Progressive, Prateek was the co-founder of IT&T (now an iGate subsidiary), which grew to over 300 people across India. Before this, he worked as technical support manager at HCL's headquarters in India where he got an opportunity to be part of HCL’s operations in America, now called HCL Technologies Ltd, that granted him international exposure in the early 90’s. Prateek is an entrepreneur with extensive work experience in the area of customer service delivery, making technology work for customers and human resource management. His passion for the Managed Services Business has granted him the acumen and expertise with which he drives his team to deliver consistently and improve customer experience. Progressive’s internal organization is modeled around the company’s core philosophy of value creation for customers. Prateek cascades this virtue into his organization and personally takes interest in developing teams and leadership by spending considerable time as a faculty and mentor in Associate Development Programs. His foresight and belief that ‘Change is Constant’ urges the Progressive team to think beyond and be prepared always, come what may. The quality consciousness imbibed by the company has made it one of the few ICT Infrastructure companies that can boast of a long list of certifications including ISO 9001, ISO 20000 for infrastructure services management, ISO 27001 for information security management. Over the last decade, Progressive has won several accolades including ‘Best Implementation Partner – Projects by Hewlett Packard, ‘The Company of the Year -2009 by CRN Xcellence’, ‘Best System Integrator – DQ Week, and ‘Frost & Sullivan Award for Best Integrated Infrastructure Management Capabilities in the domestic market’; to name a few. Described as a ‘Silent Performer’ by his peers and vendors, Prateek is the pillar who has single mindedly steered Progressive to sustain through thick and thin and move on to becoming a best –in-class organization. He holds a bachelor's degree in Electronics and Telecommunications Engineering from Kurukshetra University in India. He has participated in the Management Development Program at XLRI, Jamshedpur and INSEAD, Singapore. Vineet Kumar, Director – Enterprise Sales Vineet, in his capacity as the Director spearheads the Enterprise Sales division of Progressive. Vineet has been both a founding member as well as a member on Progressive’s Board of Directors.He carries the overall responsibility for formulating the business strategy to ensure that Progressive continues its rapid strides toward becoming the preferred technology partner for enterprises across India. He takes initiatives to forget strategic relationships with customers and deepen industry domain capabilities by expanding vertical wise coverage.
Vineet has been instrumental in steering the growth of the Company owing to his strong prowess and insight of the Solution Selling Space and wide exposure and experience across industry verticals. His calm and composed disposition helps him mentor the young Progressive team where he spends a significant proportion of his time in grooming and molding them. Vineet is an engineer who has spent over 15 successful years in the IT industry. Venu Garg, Co-founder & Director- People Excellence Venu joined hands in laying the foundation of Progressive. As the Director – People Excellence & Administration, she has from then on, guided and motivated the Progressive clan on the excellence path. Her friendly and approachable demeanor helps create a feeling of belongingness within the Progressive family.Under her able guidance, Progressive has scaled up to have a 1000 plus resource base. She has driven several Human Capital initiatives with key focus on Employee Management to imbibe a culture in Progressive that compels people to delve within and nurture their competencies further.
Progressive models its HR practices on PCMM Level 3 and has won the coveted ‘Amity HR Excellence Award consecutively, at the 5th & 6th Global HR Summit’ Venu also ensures that the administration of the company runs smoothly and effectively. A post graduate in Mathematics (Statistics) from Punjab University, Venu has a vast experience of over 15 years in the IT industry. Gulshan Kharbanda, Vice President – Professional Services Gulshan has more than 16 years of experience handling IT projects for manufacturing, distribution, finance and high-tech industries. Gulshan brings with him a rich experience of managing enterprise applications – from formulating to executing IT strategies, and maintaining roadmap that truly brings client’s IT vision into reality.
Prior to joining Progressive, Gulshan has worked with companies like NIIT, Mastech, Reptron & Jeld-Wen implementing ERP solutions across Singapore, Indonesia, North America, Europe, Australia & South America. He possesses vast knowledge and expertise in the field of Project Planning, Strategic Planning; Enterprise Application Integration (EAI), Re-engineering applications to Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) environment. He has lead teams creating innovative and cost effective global information systems which provide accurate, a proven record of achieving returns on IT investment on time and within budget. Gulshan has a Bachelors Degree in Computer Science from Delhi, India and a Masters Degree in Business Administration in Information Technology from Michigan, USA. Ratan Dargan, Vice President – Enterprise Sales Ratan, one of the strongest pillars of Progressive holds the Vice President’s portfolio. He carries with him a rich experience in the ICT Infrastructure Technology Solutions space and possesses vast knowledge on Enterprise Products.He is an eager learner and truly passionate about Solution Sales; especially Data Center Solutioning. He currently leads the Government & PSU Business Tower of Progressive. He manages the key accounts of Progressive in this vertical through a dedicated team of Business Managers across the country. He also spends a considerable amount of time in mentoring and training young Business Managers of Progressive.
Ratan is an engineer with over 15 years of varied experience in the IT Industry across verticals. Arvind Agarwal, General Manager– Finance Arvind, as the General Manager – Finance holds responsibility for overall financial strategy, financial operations and accounts. He is chartered with managing a balanced financial portfolio and maintaining the highest level of integrity, transparency and governance in the company operations.Arvind is also responsible for funds mobilization to enable the rapid growth of Progressive. He is also an expert at handling legal issues and has played a key role in redefining Service Level Agreements (SLAs) at Progressive that drive the
Progressive team to deliver nothing but the best internally as well as to our customers. His proactive nature and ready to help attitude, ensure smooth financial operations internally as well as externally. A Fellow Chartered Accountant who brings in 20 years of rich experience, Arvind has led various initiatives to help streamline the operational parameters and drive excellence. Saket Vohra, General Manager – Infrastructure Services Saket Vohra holds the portfolio of managing some of the large key account s of Progressive in his capacity as the Country Large Accounts Manager. He carries responsibility for Business Development, Relationship Management & Total Customer Experience in these accounts.He is a trained ITIL Masters Professional and also a trained Lead Auditor of ISO 20000. He has lead the Quality initiative , overall compliance to Quality programs and stringent ITIL Process adherence in the past. Till recently, he was responsible for the service support operations across the country.
He has a rich experience of practicing ITIL, ITSM best practices & processes. He has played a key role in Management of Services & Projects in Progressive. Saket is an engineer and he brings over 15 years of varied experience in Planning, Implementing and Supporting IT Infrastructure. |
